26th October, 2013 was one of those showery, blustery days, Mike met Richard at his house, while I went to Susie’s friend’s house where she was getting ready. The rain stayed off and Mike was able to capture some shots of Richard’s party in his garden. Susie led me to her dress hanging upstairs, it was just beautiful! I captured shots of the bridesmaids while Susie finished her last bits of preparation before leaving with dad for the church. Carshalton Baptist Church the venue for Susie and Richard’s wedding is built adjacent to Strawberry Lodge, one of the oldest buildings in Carshalton, being built in 1685, it is now used as a conference centre. Kind friends at the church had decorated the entrance steps and hall of the lodge with floral displays especially for Susie and Richard’s wedding. After the service we went with Richard and Susie to Grove Park for some couple shots, the wind blew and the rain was doing it’s best, but Richard and Susie weren’t going to let that spoil their day and we were able to create some beautiful portraits for them. Back at the church, the rain had stopped so we were able to take the group shots outside with the lovely lodge as a background. We retreated inside as the rain started again and Susie and Richard wanted to be photographed with the beautiful floral arrangements. We enjoyed capturing those special memories of Susie and Richard’s day. If you are getting married in or around Carshalton, or anywhere in Surrey please give us a call on 020 8393 1509 as we are passionate about wedding photography and would love to capture the memories of your special day too.
