It was a lovely warm August day for Sophie and Chris’ wedding at St. Mary’s Church, Cuddington. We started photographing Sophie getting ready at her mum’s house. I learned early on from Sophie’s garter that Chris was Chelsea supporter. The bridesmaids dresses were also the Chelsea colours. Sophie, her mum, who was giving her away and the bridesmaids arrived at St. Mary’s Church, Cuddington in a 1950’s American Oldsmobile which was also blue. Between the church and reception at the North Cheam Sports and Social Club we stopped off with Sophie and Chris at a local park for some special photos of them both. One of the highlights of the day was the speech given by Sophie’s mother which was in the form of a highly entertaining poem which she had written about different aspects of Sophie’s and Chris’ life and brought to life by a series of props.
